The now infamous opening words spoken by
Oscar Goldman over the titles of the Six Million Dollar Man .
The series origionally screened in the
UK on ITV in 1974, re-runs are being shown even today on the Sci-Fi channel.
It starred...Lee Majors as Steve Austin
the astronaut test pilot who lost his right arm, both legs and his left
eye in an accident .And.....Richard Anderson as Oscar Goldman the head
of the OSI government agency who along with Rudy Wells rebuilds Steve,the
price tag,Six Million dollars.
Although the series only ran for four years
in the UK it made Steve Austin a household name,and spawned numerous spin-offs
The Bionic Woman ,The Bionic Boy and Max the Bionic dog.More recently two
feature films have been made Bionic showdown introducing Sandra Bullock
to the superhuman fold,and Bionic Forever in which Steve Austin and Jamie
Sommers finally tie the knot.
This television show was a seventies classic
