Citizens Band the movie
was made in 1977, and follows the exploits of a group of characters brought
together by CB Radio in the American Town of Union.
"Spider" the self
proclaimed law enforcement officer of the airwaves, his girlfriend "Electra"
school teacher by day, airwaves seductress by night. "Blood", Spiders cynical
brother who has lived his whole life in his older brothers shadow.
"Papa Thermodine"
Ex truck driver and the slowly deteriorating father of Spider and Blood.
The "Chrome Angel" long distance truck driver who is confronted by his
two wives when they both descend on Union to visit him after an accident.
"Hot Coffee" shall we say a Lady of the Road, Other characters in the movie
are The Priest, The Red Baron, Cochese, The Hustler, The Warlock and Smilin
Jack.
The whole cast are
thrown together in the final scene in the search for "Spiders" father who
goes missing on his quest to return to Canada.

Although not
as well known as its counterparts, Convoy and Smokey and the Bandit, this
movie was more definitive in its portrayal of the reality of CB Radio and
its use and impact.
